Q: Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, we welcome new patients ages 10 and up.
Q: Do you offer same-day appointments?
Yes, we provide same-day visits and are available every day. Please call us (904)464-1044 to secure a same-day appointment as our online scheduling system does not allow online booking for same-day appointments.
Q: Do you offer Telehealth visits?
Yes, our appointments are available via Telehealth for both new and established patients. We recommend that your very first visit be in-person, but most follow-up appointments can be done from the comfort of your home or office. We are available and licensed throughout the state of Florida so you do not need to live in the Jacksonville area to become a patient.
Q: Do you offer after-hours care?
No, we do not provide after-hours or on-call services. If you have an urgent concern, please call during regular business hours or seek urgent or emergency care if necessary.
Q. What services are covered by my insurance?
Rivers to Wellness is able to provide services and testing that your insurance allows coverage for. This includes general healthcare and common chronic disease management with basic preventative health screenings based on guidelines.
Q. What if I want a lab or medication that is not covered by my insurance?
Many diagnostics test and medication as well as dosages must be tied to a specific diagnosis for insurance approval and coverage. Sometimes these strict rules limit diagnostics testing and medication. However, we are not able to order these labs and medications at significant discounts through trusted, reputable and accredited companies. Please discuss these options at your appointment.
Q. Can I use my insurance for Peptides and Compound medications?
No, these medications and supplements are not covered by insurance. Further, many diagnostic lab tests for biomarkers are also not approved by insurance. In order to meet the highest standard of healthcare and wellness goals of our patients, we are able to offer these test and medication without the need of insurance authorization and deliver you the most timely and valuable care at a discounted cost.
Q. Do you prescribe compound GLP-1 medications?
Yes, we provided with transparent pricing, no memberships or obligations, just affordable, discounted pricing for any necessary consultation, assessments, diagnostics, or supplements and medications.
Services & Care
Q: Do you care for patients of all ages?
We provide care for patients 10 years and older.
Q: Do you provide women’s health services?
Yes, we offer women's preventative healthcare, prescribe birth control, manage hormone replacement therapy (HRT). We order STI testing when needed. Pap smears will be available in the near future. Additional services including bio-identical hormone replacement and supportive perimenopause and menopause treatment with the use of peptides and compound medications are not covered by insurance.
Q: Do you provide men’s health services?
Yes, we evaluate low testosterone, manage TRT, and provide prostate cancer screening. Additional services including maximizing physical endurance, optimization and sexual function are offered in our Wellness program as these service are not covered by insurance.
Q: Do you manage chronic conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure?
Yes, we provide long-term management and lifestyle-focused treatment for obesity, diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol disorders, thyroid disease, asthma, and COPD.
Q: Does Rivers to Wellness has a weight loss program?
Yes, we offer weight loss management covered by insurance. This visit includes consultation and diagnostic testing typically covered by insurance and well as counseling on recommended nutrition and exercise. We work with your insurance to receive prior authorization for weight loss medications.
Beyond insurance coverage we also offer GLP-1 compound medications from reputable 503a sources as well as a personalized weight loss program which also includes fitness and nutrition support with a NSAM certified nutrition coach and 1:1 online fitness coaching for sustainable, real-world weight management and improved metabolic health.
Q: Do you prescribe medications for addiction?
Yes, we prescribe Suboxone and naltrexone and provide counseling and recovery support.
Testing and Procedures
Q: What procedures does Rivers to Wellness perform in-office?
We perform wound and burn care, laceration repair, incision and drainage, suture removal, punch/shave biopsy, cryotherapy, skin tag removal, ear wax removal, joint injections, foreign body removal, and select podiatry/nail procedures.
Q: Do you perform EKGs?
Yes, our Primary Care provides in-office EKGs for heart evaluation, wellness exams, and pre-op clearance.
Q: What tests are available in the office?
We offer rapid strep, rapid flu, pregnancy tests, urinalysis, and EKGs. Additional labs are ordered to your preferred lab when needed.

We are located in Mandarin (Jacksonville, FL 32223) and proudly serve patients from Jacksonville, Orange Park, Fleming Island and St. Johns, Nocatee, St, Augustine and Palm Coast including 32223, 32256, 32257, 32257, 32259, 32082, and 32092. We also offer Telehealth services throughout the state of Florida.
Q: Do you speak other languages?
Yes, we provide care in English and Russian.
